We had a REALLY great trip to CO! We hiked in Sangre de Cristo National Forest up Humboldt Peak. From far away, it looked like a shapeless mound, but it turns out you should never underestimate a 14,000 ft mountain! It kicked our tails. Well, except for our furry friend who actually has a tail... she flew up and down like the energizer bunny! The hiking and camping was beautiful, but I think my favorite was actually our road trip on the county roads through South Central CO. We stayed in a town called Salida on the AR river, and decided that Crested Butte might be the most perfect place in the US to live :) You know when you're gone for a long trip and are kind of ready to get back home?
